After a 13 hour flight we got into Singapore and found an excellent hotel 'Changi Village' a 4 star joint only 10 minutes from the airport with infinity pool and amazing food stalls. Needless to say we took a dip, watched the flights roll in over the bay and went and got well fed and finished the night with some Teh Tarik (Indian-Malay sweet tea). We left early for Pekanbaru in Sumatra which was definitely a different experience...
